Abandoned bus bays at a transit station in mid-town Toronto. Olympus XA, Fuji Neopan 1600 film (at 800), camera propped up on a fence, exposure about 5 seconds. Given the “lith film” look in PS.

Bord, I was thinking the exact same thing, and it’s kind of what I had in mind when I did up the picture. (For those who have not been there, Hosaka’s site is http://www.diveshore.net/blog/). — posted by Jordan on November 29, 2005 10:04am

This has a surreal feel to it. I like the harsh b&w contrast along with the grain. — posted by Ed on November 29, 2005 2:44pm

BTW, where in the city is this place? — posted by Ed on November 29, 2005 2:45pm

Ohh! Great! I didn’t see it first, but it has that lovely _sharp_ grain, that tri-x and others lack. Print it! :) — posted by henning/timeUnit on November 29, 2005 6:02pm

The effect of look like the lith film is excellent. I think it matches to this subject. — posted by makoto (mniijima) on November 29, 2005 8:58pm

This is such a stunning image. The grain, the contrast, and the compostition are all working beatifully together. Very nice work you have here… — posted by JoDi on December 4, 2005 3:08pm

Wow, excellent, just excellent. These are the closed down TTC bus bays at the south west corner of Yonge and Eglinton (I used to wait in bay 8 for the 61 Nortown Westbound bus). — posted by David S. on December 14, 2005 7:21pm
