socks

Socks hanging on our drying rack last year. Taken with my erstwhile Mamiya C220 on HP5 Plus, and scanned from a print.

I love this. It captures a sense of home… and yet it’s just socks. :) Well done! — posted by luminouslens on March 19, 2005 9:01pm

I love this exposure, I’m not too sure about the subject but it looks great!  — posted by miles on March 19, 2005 11:03pm

I love the exposure and subject matter. Yes. It’s the feeling of home like the person above mentioned. Well done. — posted by Susan B. on March 24, 2005 1:04am

I too really love the homey feel of this shot. Photographs like these remind photographers and other to not overlook the obvious and to open our eyes to what is all around us. Really fantastic. — posted by matt on March 26, 2005 3:37pm

What a beautiful blend of textures… — posted by Diane on April 12, 2005 1:00pm

I used to work as a photo assistant (I was never very good at it- I dropped things) and this one photographer I worked with said that the measure of a really great photographer is what he or she can do within a one block radius of their house. Your work is wonderful and hits the mark! I know these socks, I know this drying rack, this little corner of the room is everyone’s corner. Keep up the great work. — posted by Tony on April 20, 2005 9:04am
