Afternoon light

Today is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Here in Toronto we’re closer to the equator than to the North Pole (though with the -9C temperatures, it sure doesn’t feel like it), and it still got dark mighty early. I shudder to think how many hours of daylight my visitors from Sweden, Finland, Russia, or Calgary have been getting!

Camera, film and development details are the same as for yesterday’s picture. (Yashicamat 124 with Arista.EDU Ultra 200, developed in PC-Gly-TOL).

Fantastic exposure. Venetian blinds are a a favourite target of mine but I’ve never achieved anything as successful as this. — posted by Simon C on December 26, 2005 9:07am

I love when I see a shot that has been taken for its quality of light. So often the focus is on the subject matter. 🙂 Made me smile. — posted by JoDi on December 30, 2005 10:11pm
