My shadow on University Avenue. (No, I’m not pregnant, that’s my briefcase by my side.) Taken on 35mm HP5 Plus and developed in diluted Mytol, a home-brew XTOL clone. These negs scan very smoothly and I can see why XTOL is popular.

Interesting elements. The horizontal lines are cut nicely by your shadow and the light pole’s shadow. I like the positioning of the cars, with that open space in the middle which creates some tension, as if your shadow might make a break for it. Great shot. — posted by matt on September 27, 2005 9:13pm

I keep using Xtol during one year. I like very much. Anyway I agree with matt. This is a great composition. — posted by makoto (mniijima) on September 28, 2005 1:26am
i had an immediate sense of lee friedlanders self-portraits when i saw this image. he had a great sense of making himslef apart of the urban landscape infront of him, and I first thought of that here. — posted by dimitri on September 30, 2005 1:45am
Great, I very like the lighting and the perspective. Nice shot.
