Sherwood Park is a little oasis of forest in the middle of mid-town Toronto, housing a remnant of the ravine-creek-forest landscape that used to dominate the city. Unfortunately, most of the forest was felled to make room for farms, which were later turned into housing; the creeks were buried (shunted into buried storm-sewer channels — a huge disgrace, when you think about it); and the ravines mostly have busy roads running through them.

All that said, when compared to other cities, Toronto has actually done a pretty good job preserving its original landscape!

Sunny days, the Rolleiflex, decent colour negative film, and the Epson 4490 (with Epson’s own scanning software) make a great combination.
